Clare Took the Plunge for MSWA
Pharmacy 777's own Clare Mathias made a difference last Sunday, raising over $4000!
It was a sunny start to the morning with not a cloud in the sky, and our 20 strong 777 team members turnig up to support Clare as she abseiled down 52 floors (220 metres) to make a different to people living with MS and all neurological conditions in Western Australia.
“The nerves hadn't kicked in, until I stood under the Central Park building to see all the other abseilors coming down” said Clare.
The Central Park Plunge is Perth’s ultimate charity challenge, with a 220 metre abseil from Perth’s tallest building - Central Park. The $4150 Clare raised enables MSWA to provide support and services to West Australian’s living with MS and all neurological conditions.
Clare has a personal connection to MSWA as one of her colleagues was struck down with the disease. She witnessed his life change in the blink of an eye, physically, emotionally and financially. Clare is passionate about making an impact in our community, by conquering her fear of heights, she wase able to raise awareness of what people living with MS experience daily.
Clare couldn't have been happier when she completed the Plunge, walking down those final steps with her hands in the air as the 777 team cheered her on.
"Thank you to everyone who supported me and donated to this great cause. I can't wait until next year, where I hope to have more of my 777 colleagues abseling next to me."
AFT Pharmaceuticals kindly supported Clare with funding to participate on the day.
