For the past five years the Pharmacy 777 Group has been working together to help support Telethon, 2024’s theme is: “Incredible Together”.
Much loved in WA, Telethon is now in its 57th year and has been helping the children of WA live better and brighter futures since 1968.
“This year we’re incredibly proud to report that we raised $150,000 for Telethon, which is our biggest donation ever,” CEO Pharmacy 777 Group Jason Brotherson said.
“We’re a WA owned and operated business and we were delighted to be able to support Telethon again this year, it really is a WA icon, just like the Fat Cat dolls we sell to raise money for this very worthy cause.
“Telethon has made a huge commitment to improving WA children’s health and wellbeing and we’re so proud to be part of the community that helps keep this tremendous fundraising event going strong.”
This year’s limited edition ‘Beach Fat Cat’ doll was a huge hit at Pharmacy 777 pharmacies, and it seems that patients still can’t get enough of them.
100 Fat Cat dolls were donated to the opening night audience when Jason presented the cheque to Telethon.
The Pharmacy 777 team also had some fun with some of the stars of Telethon at the Sunday Family Festival this year, with the 777 Little Scientists putting them to the test.
In 2024, Telethon is supporting 136 beneficiaries, delivering 276 grants and 1657 pieces of equipment to children and families in need.
Since its inception it has raised over $600 million for children’s health and medical research and continues to inspire hope and create life-changing outcomes for sick and vulnerable children.
You can continue to support Telethon and help WA kids by picking up a Beach Fat Cat of your very own at your local Pharmacy 777, remember they are Limited edition and will run out.
